In a pioneering step to enhance transparency and sustainability in financial markets, the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) launched the Climate-Related Disclosure Guidance, along with the Amman Stock Exchange Climate-related Disclosures Regulatory Framework, and Jordan National Climate-Related Disclosure Policy.

The ASE, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Ernst & Young (EY), has prepared the guide, regulatory framework and policy for the climate-related disclosure. The guidance includes a set of standards and principles that help listed companies to develop financial and non-financial climate-related disclosures that are compatible with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which enhances investor confidence and improves companies’ ability to address environmental challenges. This guidance is in line with global best practices, specifically the sustainability disclosure standards issued by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), such as IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
